Frequently asked questions
Why are my metrics not appearing on the iPhone?
Open the Ventaglio app on your iPhone while your Apple Watch is nearby. Metrics sync automatically once both devices are connected. If you played without your iPhone nearby, the metrics are saved locally on the Watch and will sync once your iPhone is back in range.
Why does the app ask for HealthKit permissions?
Ventaglio uses HealthKit to read your heart rate, active energy, steps, and distance during beach tennis matches. It also saves matches to the Health app as workouts (with your permission). All health data stays on your device.
Why does the app ask for location permissions?
Ventaglio uses your location only during an active match on outdoor courts, to measure the distance you cover while playing. Location is requested as “While Using the App” — not in the background. No location data is sent to our servers.
Can I use Ventaglio without an internet connection?
Yes. The only feature that requires internet is the initial login. After signing in, all match tracking works fully offline. Metrics sync between the Watch and iPhone using local Bluetooth connectivity, not the internet.
Does my data go to any server?
The only data that leaves your device is your authentication (Google Sign-In). Match data, profile information, and health metrics stay on your devices. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my account?
Email us at support@ventaglio.app requesting account deletion. We will delete your authentication record within 30 days. To delete all local data, uninstall the app from your iPhone and Apple Watch.
My Apple Watch session is not starting / crashes / behaves unexpectedly. What do I do?
- Force-quit the Ventaglio app on the Watch (press the side button, then swipe up on the app)
- Make sure your Watch has the latest watchOS version
- Make sure Ventaglio has HealthKit and Location permissions enabled in iPhone Settings → Privacy
- If the issue persists, please email us at support@ventaglio.app with details about your Watch model and watchOS version
